BlackRock’s Bitcoin ETF could be nearing its launch as the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) has listed a ticker for the iShares Bitcoin Trust, IBTC. The DTCC is a massive clearinghouse handling an astounding $2.3 quadrillion in stock sales annually. This development follows news that a seed investor may be funding the product this month, as BlackRock filed an amendment with the SEC.
