Blockchain analytics company Arkham Intelligence reported a notable event on Jan. 16, 2024, revealing that $2 billion in dormant bitcoins moved just before the U.S. market opened. The vintage bitcoins, dormant since 2013, were consolidated from 49 addresses to 5 new ones, each holding 8K-12K BTC. The addresses, starting with “bc1q9” and “bc1qn,” now hold between $380M-$480M each.
