Sber, Russia’s largest bank, is developing a blockchain technology that will be technologically compatible with Ethereum, the world’s largest decentralized finance (DEFI) ecosystem. The statement was made by the banking institution during an international summit with representatives of the blockchain sector.
According to a press release, the Sber blockchain will also enable integration with Metamask, a popular crypto wallet used to interact with Ethereum, allowing users to do activities with tokens and smart contracts housed on the bank’s platform.
